FM: Interact and FM:Space - Two Powerful Workplace Management Solutions

WestJet Takes off with FM:Systems

FM:Interact selected to provide cost-effective move management processes

RALEIGH, N.C. – January 14 , 2009 – FM:Systems, a leading provider of integrated workplace management systems (IWMS) and computer-aided facility management (CAFM) software, today announced that WestJet, Canada's leading high-value low-cost airline, selected FM:Interact to enhance its move management processes as the airline moves into a new corporate headquarters.

WestJet attributes its steady growth and financial success to its superior levels of customer service, strong corporate culture and unwavering commitment to its business model. With a portfolio of more than one-million square feet, the company needed a more efficient process to manage its property and resources. WestJet turned to Stantec, a provider of professional design and consulting services, to facilitate the search for a solution that matched its commitment to customer service.

Following a comprehensive search, the company chose FM:Systems’ FM:Interact, a Web-based workplace management suite that enables organizations to share facilities information and manage processes that impact the entire enterprise. In a standard Web browser, FM:Interact allows real estate and facilities professionals to collaborate and share workplace information with all employees. With its intuitive interface, companies have quick and easy access to key facilities information such as occupancy, moves, maintenance and more.

“This purchase was much more than a technology decision for WestJet,” said Fred Ring, WestJet executive vice president, corporate projects. “After speaking with several of their customers, it became clear that FM:Systems shares our commitment to customer service. Add to that the quick return on investment and rapid implementation, and our decision was an easy one. We look forward to working with the Stantec team to implement the system company-wide.”

After a 12-week implementation process, WestJet plans to go live with FM:Interact on February 1, 2009, in its Calgary headquarters and to roll it out company-wide over the next 24 months.

“We realize that technology is a part of a broader picture.  That’s why FM:Systems focuses on providing the whole product – technology, services and support – to our partners and customers, ” said Marty Chobot, vice president of product management, FM:Systems. “Our growth is a direct result of the fact that our customers continue to recommend us not only for our products, but also for our commitment to their ongoing success.”
