Michael founded FM:Systems in 1984 with the vision of creating a flexible, comprehensive facility management system that could be easily used by facility planners and managers. Michael is responsible for overseeing company operations and guiding the company’s product direction.  He frequently speaks on technology topics at facility management conferences; past engagements include IFMA World Workplace, EuroFM, FMA Australia, and the Hong Kong FM conference.  Before founding FM:Systems, Michael was a registered architect specializing in architectural space analysis and technology applications for building design. 

Michael is also active in the community.  FM:Systems frequently donates time, resources and software licenses of its product to colleges and universities with Facility Management programs. In addition, Michael chairs a group that collects and repairs computers for schools in Mexico, Africa and other developing countries.
