FM: Interact and FM:Space - Two Powerful Workplace Management Solutions

FM:Systems Announces the Release of FM:Interact 7.0

New features enable organizations to improve communication between workplace professionals and employees

Raleigh, N.C. – January 10, 2006 - FM:Systems, a provider of integrated workplace management systems (IWMS), today announced the release of FM:Interact 7.0.  This latest version builds on the company’s 22 year tradition of enabling facilities and real estate professionals to access accurate and up-to-date facility data in real-time.

“FM:Systems continues to offer features that allow facilities and real estate professionals to improve productivity with a focus on delivering better customer service to their staff,”  said Michael Schley, CEO and Founder of FM:Systems.  “With this in mind we have added key features in 7.0 to allow organizations of all sizes to easily share information and, as a result, realize greater cost savings and productivity gains.”

FM:Interact New Features
Key new features in FM:Interact include Dynamic DWF, Configurable Web Forms and Enhanced Stacking:

Dynamic DWF leverages Autodesk’s DWF (Design Web Format) technology to allow users to turn layers on or off, add annotations and graphically display the results of data queries on CAD drawings from a standard web browser. Workplace professionals eliminate the time-consuming task of publishing drawings to show updated information and end-users get real-time, visual displays of move plans, vacancies and more.

Configurable Web Forms are a set of features that give workplace professionals the ability to quickly and easily create easy-to-use web forms without web programming. Forms can be configured to capture accurate information and streamline the data entry process for end users. Specific features include View-based Default Values, Conditional Fields, Cascading Picklists, Filtered Views and Add-Only Forms.

Enhanced Stacking allows workplace professionals to project space needs by assignable square feet, head count or usable square feet to more quickly create accurate space forecasts. In addition, there are a number of presentation capabilities that allow facility professionals to share their forecasts with management and end users.

“One of the key benefits of implementing FM:Interact was the ability to have dynamic facility data at our fingertips,” said Scott Clymer, site services manager at Chevron.  “As a result, FM:Interact has helped us completely revamp our operations and allowed us to focus on providing superior service to our employees.”
