Webinar Series: Strategies for Success

The Lifecycle BIM Roadmap

Best Practices for Collaboration between AEC Firms and Building Owners

Presented by:

Rich Mitrenga, Sales Development Manager, Autodesk, Inc.

Marty Chobot, Vice President of Product Management and Strategic Alliances, FM:Systems

The benefits of Lifecycle BIM can result in significant cost savings and more efficient use of resources for your organization. But to truly harness the power of BIM for FM, you need a strategic modeling process with a clear picture of desired outcomes.

To start, you need to understand the needs of the end users of your BIM data, their business issues and workflows. Your deliverable standards should be defined upfront with your AEC firm. Having the criteria clearly identified and issues such as the level of detail you want to see worked out in the beginning ensures the model is a valuable, usable tool that will become an essential part of your FM strategy in the end.

This Webinar will discuss:

  • A brief overview of BIM and FM technology
  • The benefits of BIM for facility managers
  • How AEC firms and the BIM modeling process work
  • The steps to take to collaborate better with your AEC firm to get the BIM model you want
